Case study
VE Hospitality Group
Email, loyalty, and marketing automation for a nine brand Miami restaurant group. Six months, one owned audience, real lift.
The brief
Stop renting attention. Start owning it.
VE Hospitality runs nine restaurant brands across Miami. The goal: one first party audience the group actually owns, a consistent email program across every brand, and lifecycle automation that handles the follow up on its own.
The challenge
Nine brands, no shared audience.
Nine inboxes, a lot of anonymous website traffic that left without a trace, and follow up that depended on someone remembering to hit send.
What I did
Three moves.
Built an owned audience
Intent search and a tracking pixel turned anonymous visitors into first party contacts. 143,000 of them.
Ran email across 9 brands
Copy and design for one shared program, scaled from a trickle to about 73,000 a week. 683,623 delivered in six months.
Automated the follow up
Seventy Olo Engage lifecycle automations, welcome, win back, review and bounce back, so every guest moment triggers the right message.
The results
Numbers from the first half of 2026.
Percentages and volumes from the group's January to June performance report.
By brand
A few highlights.
Mercato Della Pescheria posted the group's best average open rate at 16.5%. News Cafe hit 14.69% open and 17.83% click to open. Marabu carried the highest non flagship volume at 66,095 sent. And the flagship, Cortadito, sent 108,806 emails while its mobile app climbed to 28% of loyalty orders, the number two channel behind in store.
